The Mower Shed

Back in 2015, we were establishing our lawn and garden business. On one property we turned up to mow, our client asked if we could take his old ride-on lawn mower away as he did not want it anymore. After buying it for a nominal price and loading it on the trailer, we took it home, where Nick set about repairing and servicing it. A few days later someone travelled down to the South Waikato from Whangarei and bought it … thus The Mower Shed was born!

We have come a long way since then but have still been vigilant in maintaining our values and ethics along the road of growth. A big thing for us is honesty about what we sell, and trying to make sure our clients buy the mower that not only suits their property needs but them as individuals (and families!).

We have built up great relationships with other second hand mower dealers, retail stores and wholesale suppliers that have helped us to learn and grow. We would not be where we are today without these amazing people, and we hope to deal with them for many years to come.

Learning and being in this business since 2015 has been amazing and the future is looking exciting. While we sell refurbished second-hand ride-on mowers of all brands, we now also offer brand new ride-on mowers, push mowers, power equipment and garden equipment. We have also moved into new premises which is basic but giving us a lot more room to work with; and house stock from our wonderful suppliers.

We sell nationwide, arranging delivery and/or shipment or accommodate on-site pick-ups for our customers and we love putting together cost-effective packages that we stand behind. We have also supplied mowers to the islands to meet specific needs and love seeing these in action.

Our past clients include commercial businesses, lifestyle block owners, residential clients, and tiny home plots located from Kaitaia to Invercargill and everywhere in between. We can and will source the right mower for your needs.

Our idea for this business is to keep costs to a minimum, provide great service and pass on the savings from a low cost model onto our customers. This is why we can offer a minimum discount of 5% off all new goods and the best trade-in values in the industry as we know the used mower market very well.

Note: We do not stock every model of every brand as that is very expensive and we do not have the room to do so. When we order in it typically takes 5 to 7 days for your ride-on mower to be ready.
